Samuel Hulme Day (29 December 1878 – 21 February 1950), a.k.a. Sammy Day, was a professional cricketer for Kent and an English international footballer, who played as an inside forward.

Cricket Career

Day was born in Peckham Rye, London. After receiving an education at Malvern College, where he was Captain of the Cricket XI[1], he went to Cambridge University where he played for the Cricket First XI, scoring 1631 runs. Day played for Kent from 1897 to 1919 and scored 5,893 runs.[2]

Football Career

Day played for Old Malvernians, and earned three caps for England in 1906, scoring two goals.[3]
